Taking care of your mental health during COVID-19 can be a little daunting, but with these tips, the Krueger Wellness Institute team hopes you can be more at ease during this stressful time.

Take a break from the media: This includes social media, television and radio. With a 24-hour news cycle, the discussions on COVID-19 never seem to stop. Try to take a step back from the noise daily.

Meditation: By using apps such as Calm or Breathe, you will be guided through meditation to help clear your mind and relax your body.

Take up a hobby: Knitting, painting or adult coloring books are a great way to remain busy. Or, play a board game with your family, Monopoly, Risk, Exploding Kittens or Scategories are a great way to keep the family occupied.

Connect with others: Use Facetime or Facebook messenger to connect with family and friends you’re unable to visit.

Schedule a Tele-Therapy session: The Krueger Wellness team is still here to help you navigate and cope with daily life. Schedule a tele-session with your therapist if you’re feeling overwhelmed, hopeless or overly stressed.

Get outside: Going for a late afternoon walk is a great way to relax. Change up your routes to ease any boredom you may have.

COVID-19 can be overwhelming for your entire family. We hope with these tips you can find an easier way to cope with the stress and anxiety of the pandemic is placing on your family.
