I’m Jennie Bisson, a Registered Clinical Mental Health Intern dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
My path into counseling has been shaped by both professional experience and personal resilience. I hold a master’s degree in school counseling, along with a graduate certificate that bridges my work as a school counselor into clinical mental health counseling. As I continue working toward full licensure, I am honored to support individuals through life’s challenges while helping them build resilience, discover their strengths, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
I believe that every person has a unique story, and no one should have to navigate life’s struggles alone. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed, my goal is to provide a collaborative therapeutic relationship where healing can begin at your own pace.
My personal experiences have strengthened my empathy and deepened my commitment to this work. As a Stage III breast cancer survivor, I understand firsthand how unexpected life events can reshape our identities, relationships, and emotional well-being. While every journey is different, my experience has reinforced my belief in the incredible resilience of the human spirit and the importance of hope, self-compassion, and connection.
Outside of my professional role, I am happily remarried to a retired United States Air Force veteran, and together we are blessed with a beautifully blended family of five wonderful children. My family continually reminds me of the importance of patience, communication, flexibility, and finding joy even during life’s busiest seasons.
My counseling approach is rooted in authenticity, empathy, and evidence-based practices. I strive to meet each client where they are, recognizing that healing isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about rediscovering the strengths that have been there all along.
Seeking support is one of the bravest steps a person can take. Whether you’re beginning therapy for the first time or returning after time away, I look forward to walking alongside you as you work toward healing, growth, and a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.
